Book Fair fall 2024

Book Fair

October 21-25

It is time for our Fall Book Fair! October 21st-25th. You are invited to our Radical Reading Events! We will be open for business as we try to raise money for new Biographies, Non-fiction books,  and Makerspaces. There are going to be several activities that go along with this great Book Fair.  We will let students shop each day during their library time.

read is awesome

***Classroom Contest – We will be holding a classroom contest.  Each teacher will collect change. The 2 classrooms that have the most change in their “Rad Bags” get a popcorn party.  Students, we need your pennies and change if you want to win a Totally Awesome Popcorn Party Please send change in a Ziploc bag marked Classroom Change.

***All For Books Picture - We will have an 80s backdrop set up on Wednesday, October 23rd, for students to come and take their pictures since they will be dressed 80s fabulous. Pictures will be printed and sent home the following week. Pictures will be $1.00 each and the money is all donated to All for Books. Send money in an envelope or bag marked 80s Picture.

***Book Fair Money – Please send your child’s money or note in an envelope specifying whether they are to spend their money on only books or whether they can also purchase school supplies (erasers, pencils, book marks, pointers, etc.).  Last time we had a few problems with students buying school supplies when their parents wanted books.  This helps us help the little students make a good choice.

***Book Fair Website & Online Fair – Use the bit.ly or QR code to visit our Book Fair webpage. It lists the events, lets you set up the eWallet, and view the Book Fair Flyer. The online Book Fair is open now and runs through Nov. 2nd.  This is great for grandparents or family members that are out of town.  Also, if you have older children you would like to purchase books for, there is a wide selection on the website.  Please visit the site below to go to our online fair.  You can get to the quick link from our school website.

Don’t forget Books make excellent Christmas Gifts. If you would like to purchase or order books online for Christmas, the books are shipped to your house in an enclosed envelope or box or you can schedule a time to video chat Mrs. Keeling and she will set up a pick up time after school.

Note: All the change collected for all contests will go to “Share The Fair”.

ewallet setup

***eWallet - This is a new way to give your child money to spend at a Book Fair that you load with a credit card at your convenience from home. See eWallet Flyer. Just visit our Book Fair website below and scroll down to the Green eWallet banner and click “Get Started”. Super easy. Several people used it at the last fair and were super happy with it. This is the preferred method of payment. You can even send a note saying to use a certain amount for the change buckets or to purchase a teacher a gift certificate. Just message Mrs. Keeling or send in a note. Don’t worry if you don’t have a printer. Just write a note to Mrs. Keeling letting her know the child’s name and amount. She will look it up on the website.

Note: No need to print eWallet. I have Live updates through the register!
